Ongoing research beginning in the early 2000s has shown that names can affect recruitment decisions. To promote fairness and privacy, Jobfair® hides names until you've accepted an employer's request to connect.

Is Jobfair® free for job-seekers?

Yes! All Columbia Gorge Community College students and grads can use Jobfair® for free.

What's a Pre-Interview?

It's a reusable audio clip, where you answer a common interview question, which is then attached to your redacted resume. Employers who are recruiting students for internships and full-time jobs can quickly reach out and move the interview process along both before or after the in-person career fair. You may re-record every 90 days.

What can employers view?

Accepted Answer

Employers see your redacted resume and listen to your Pre-Interview. Names and contact info are hidden unless you accept a connection request.

What's next after sharing my contact info?

You proceed with the company's interview process. Jobfair® simply handles the initial connection.

Does Jobfair® replace the in-person career fair?

Accepted Answer

No! Colleges hold a number of career fairs, events and mixers on campus. Jobfair® simply exists to facilitate interview requests before and after these events — and you should still plan on attending them.
